Stainless steel milling, cooling and lubrication

Coolant selection:

Water-based coolant: Suitable for general stainless steel processing, with good cooling effect and cost-effectiveness.

Oil-based coolant: For high-speed machining and heavy-duty machining, oil-based coolant can provide better lubrication and cutting performance.

Coolant concentration:

The concentration of coolant has an important influence on the cooling effect and cutting performance. Usually, the concentration of coolant should be adjusted according to the processing conditions and requirements to avoid adverse effects on processing caused by too high or too low concentration.

Coolant supply method:

Splash cooling: The coolant is splashed on the tool and processing area at high pressure, effectively reducing cutting temperature and tool wear.

Internal cooling: By cooling with coolant inside the tool, the tool temperature can be effectively controlled and the tool life can be extended.

Application of lubricant:

In stainless steel processing, appropriate lubricant can reduce cutting force and tool wear, improve processing quality and tool life.

Lubricant should be evenly applied to the tool and processing area to ensure good lubrication and cutting performance.

Advantages of cooling and lubrication technology:

Effectively control cutting temperature, prevent overheating of tools and workpieces, reduce processing residual stress, and improve processing quality.

Extend tool life, reduce tool replacement times, and reduce processing costs.

Improve cutting performance, increase processing efficiency and productivity.
